We've all had peak experiences.
And what happens in those moments? Our active minds are stunned into silence, and we suddenly see the awesome wonder of what is.
In those moments, we have no problems at all. In those moments, we see our lives and our world as the amazing magical creation it is.
For most of us, it doesn't last long, and all our habitual thoughts return, and life goes back to normal, and we have our problems and anxieties and struggles. And we forget what we realized in our peak experience.
But there are a few amazing people — like Eckhart Tolle — who have peak experiences they never forget. An experience that changes their lives, totally, dramatically, in one brief moment of realization.
The rest of us have a less dramatic path. We forget, over and over... but then we remember again, over and over.
In times of turmoil, in times of struggle, all we need to do is remember one phrase, or one experience, one moment when we met a true master who gazed at us with total love, or when we were stunned by a sunset so beautiful it took our breath away, or when we fell in love, or gazed into a baby's eyes, or saw a truly great piece of art or perhaps a deer in the woods, or an ocean — we've all had so many experiences — and all we have to do is remember one of them and we are completely immersed, once again, in the wonder of what is.
It's all so simple. Just don't forget it. Don't forget what you know. This precious life we've been given is a miracle of divine creation. And when we remember that, when we really know that, all our problems disappear like smoke in the wind.
Love, love, love,
