I was recently asked, "How do you narrow the focus when you have so many interests?"
I remember vividly when I wrote down my Ideal Scene on my 30th birthday. I wanted to start a publishing company, write successful books, record my music, get into real estate, and also have a life of ease and inner peace.
As soon as I wrote that, my doubts and fears arose in full force, saying, "That's way too much, Marc! You'll be a jack of all trades and a master of none! Take one thing at a time and focus on it."
And I knew that whichever one I picked, they'd shoot it down.
I thought about it, and said to my doubts and fears, "No, this is my IDEAL. I don't just want to do one thing all the time. I like variety. My ideal is to do what I love, every moment of the day. I want to do a lot of different things. I want the whole enchilada."
So I went for the whole enchilada, one small step at a time. And I ended up getting far more than an enchilada — I got an endless, wonderful, abundant feast.
So go for your dreams! All of them. You can be an architect and a poet and a musician and a yoga teacher, if you want. You can be whatever you want.
Dare to dream, and to go for the whole enchilada. You'll never regret it.
Be well, be in peace,
